(BEDFORD) - Two men on a motor scooter were arrested for alcohol-related offenses Saturday night.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley tells WBIW News officers were called about two men leaving an area on a motor scooter who were suspected of being drunk, and when police located them at 18th and N Streets, they allege they both were, as well as having other problems.
Parsley says 24-year-old Caleb Godsey of Bedford failed sobriety testing and reportedly had marijuana on his person and an open container of alcohol in the scooter.
Godsey's passenger, 25-year-old William Hill of Bedford, reportedly put up a fight when officers were taking him into custody and he had to be restrained.
Overall, both face possession of marijuana charges. Godsey faces a felony count of driving while intoxicated and with an open container. Hill also faces public intoxication, and resisting arrest by force charges.
Both were lodged in the Lawrence County jail.
