(BEDFORD) - One of Lawrence County’s fatal accidents will be arriving in a courtroom soon.
The estate of Myra Arnold, who was killed last month when a semi collided with her pickup truck at the intersection of IN-37 and IN-54, is alleging negligence and suing the driver, 20-year-old Robert Shields, the truck owner, Rhonda Shields, and the owner of the trailer, Jerry Smith.
Rhonda Shields and Smith were named because, as the suit claims, they allegedly knew the driver didn't have a commercial endorsement on his driver's license, an offense Robert Shields was cited by police for.
