(UNDATED) - Today is D-Day for anyone wanting to apply for a Small Business Administration loan.
August 11th is the final day available for most people in the WBIW listening area to file an application with the SBA for additional loan funding to replace and repair items and property that was damaged by June's flooding.
SBA officials want to remind Hoosiers that loans are available to businesses, homeowners and renters that have been affected by the flooding in declared disaster counties, including almost every county in the WBIW listening area, and that loan assistance is independent of FEMA grants.
SBA officials also say that, if you are turned down for an SBA loan for whatever reason, that may make you eligible for additional FEMA grant money.
To apply, call the SBA at (800) 659-2955, or log on to disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
