(UNDATED) - And Duke Energy said, let there be light by midnight! And the fridge turned back on, and the A/C started working again, and food could be brought back in the house.
Duke Energy said yesterday they would have power on for all of Lawrence and Orange Counties by midnight last night, and except for 4 homes in Lawrence and 8 in Orange, they appeared to have made good on that promise.
What's more, Monroe County wasn't expected to be back up and running until midnight tonight, and their outages have also been whittled down to 5.
Jackson County REMC, however, still reports 600 homes in the dark, and they believe work could continue through next week.
The Daviess-Martin County REMC had their number down to 50 by yesterday afternoon, and Orange County has gotten below the 100 mark.
