(MARTINSVILLE) - Another appeal has been filed in the Jill Behrman slaying, this time with the Indiana Supreme Court.
A report in the Bloomington Herald Times says lawyers for 32-year-old John Myers II, who was convicted back in 2006 in the 2000 killing of IU student Jill Behrman, filed the appeal of the conviction, citing constitutional violations, prosecutorial misconduct and improper rulings from the presiding judge.
The killing, that occurred in Morgan County, was highly publicized, which is one reason Myers' attorney claims there should have been a change of venue.
