(BLOOMINGTON) - Workers at the General Electric plant in Bloomington have gotten a little bit of good news.
The Bloomington Herald Times reports the GE plant may have gotten a bit of a life extension to the year 2010.
GE originally planned to close its Bloomington doors in 2009 in order to move the manufacturing capacity out of country, however, the extra year's time may give some workers a chance to earn a few more bucks, put off life changing decisions a little longer, vest benefits more securely and take a little more time to get to classes to prepare for their next step in life.
However, it is still confirmed the plant will close.
