Former Brown County EMA Director Pleads Guilty

Last updated on Tuesday, September 30, 2008

(NASHVILLE) - The former Brown County Emergency Management Director pled guilty to official misconduct charges yesterday, after a grand jury handed down an indictment last December.

A report in the Bloomington Herald Times says 57-year-old Samuel Richardson Hall, was able to get is charge reduced to a misdemeanor, after a state audit found he owed Brown County more than $38,000.

The court suspended a 1-year prison sentence and gave him 1 year on probation, and 120 hours of public service work.

The reduction to a misdemeanor means Hall won't have to give up his bid for District 1 County Commissioner, where he is running against Democrat Mary Fouch.
