(LINTON) - A bank in Linton was robbed yesterday afternoon, and police now have a man in custody.
According to a report in the Greene County Daily World, 21-year-old Steven McIntyre, a recent Greene County transplant from Indianapolis, allegedly knocked over the MainSource Bank in downtown Linton early yesterday afternoon.
After an investigation and a search, Linton police and FBI agents from Bloomington took McIntyre into custody after locating him in the Linton area.
Police told the paper McIntyre allegedly walked into the bank carrying either a shotgun or rifle and demanded cash from the teller.
This is reportedly the first bank robbery in the Greene County town in more than 8 years.
