(UNDATED) - We’re coming up on that time of year again…the fall harvest season.
As a result, state police want to offer tips to keep both farmers and drivers safe on Hoosier roadways.
Farmers are reminded to make sure all lights and slow-moving vehicle placards are in place and working, avoid being on the road during rush hour traffic, and to pull off the road if 3 or more vehicles build up in behind.
Drivers are reminded to be patient with farm equipment since they do have the right to be on the road, and always be cautious when approaching farm equipment since they tend to turn into fields unexpectedly.
