(BEDFORD) - A stray lottery ticket led Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies to a suspect in a burglary case.
Hoosier Lottery officials were contacted by a Lawrence County Sheriff's detective about a lottery ticket that was found outside a home that had been burglarized, and information from that ticket led officers to the store where it was purchased and the time it was bought, which led them to surveillance footage of the customer which led to an arrest.
According to lottery officials, Lawrence County deputies have been able to lock down 20 burglaries in 3 counties because of Hoosier Lotto information.
