(BEDFORD) - The “Hall-Mar Bandit” appears to be in custody as of this morning.
The Johnny Hall-Mar gas station has been broken into pretty frequently over the past few months, and now, Bedford police say they have a man in custody.
Bedford Assistant Police Chief Dan Kirk tells WBIW News 40-year-old Timothy Romine of Brazil, formerly of Bedford, was caught inside the gas station on North Lincoln Avenue with a garbage bag laid out and break-in tools and gloves.
When police took him into custody, Romine reportedly resisted and had to be apprehended forcefully.
Romine is facing charges of burglary and resisting arrest by force.
Kirk says the charges are only for this morning's break-in, and nothing has been filed in the string of previous burglaries at the store, though the investigation continues.
