(BEDFORD) - Bedford police have one man in custody in connection with the death of a young Bedford man back in May.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley tells WBIW News 19-year-old Ronnie Thompson of Bedford was charged with maintaining a common nuisance yesterday evening after a warrant was finally served.
The warrant and preceding investigation stems from a May 11th incident where 20-year-old Jordan Dean Groves was found dead in the Eastwood Drive home of Thompson, due to an overdose on methadone.
The warrant is reportedly due to the drugs found in the home. Parsley says Groves' death was part of a string of deaths in the area that occurred as the result of methadone overdoses at the time.
Parsley also says that, though Thompson was charged, the investigation is not over.
