(BEDFORD) - Bedford police picked up a local man wanted on 6 Dubois County warrants after a domestic disturbance call early this morning.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley tells WBIW News officers were called to a home at 13th and L Streets to a disturbance call, and when they arrived, the victim told police the subject, 32-year-old Matthew Kelley of Bedford, had already fled.
After a chase and a short game of hide-and-seek, and a subsequent scuffle involving a contact stun with a Taser, they apprehended the man.
Kelley reportedly gave police a bum name and birth date, but when they got him back to jail, they found his real name, and found Dubois County wanted him on 5 petitions to revoke probation and a warrant for escape.
He also faces a pair of local resisting arrest charges as well as false informing.
