(BEDFORD) - Visitors and patients at the Bedford Regional Medical Center received a bit of a scare Friday night.
Bedford Police Assistant Chief Dan Kirk tells WBIW News police and emergency service unit officers were called to BRMC Friday night due to a report of a man waving a gun around in the parking lot.
Reports indicated the man in question entered the hospital, so the police department put BRMC on a lock-down, and did a thorough inspection of the facility.
Kirk says no gunman was found, however, and police released the lock down on the hospital.
Nobody was ever found to be responsible for the incident.
