(UNDATED) - With Halloween coming up tomorrow, police statewide are trying to get safety tips out to families and Halloween ghouls and goblins to make sure all little monsters return home safely and stay safe in general.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Jerry Goodin recommends parents stay with their children and only visit the homes of people they know. Homes that are well lit should be chosen as opposed to those that are not.
And kids should wear costumes that can be seen easily enough, and that allow them to see for themselves, and carrying a flashlight along with them isn't a bad idea either.
And if you're concerned about your children's safety, log on to the WBIW Community Calendar to see what safe trick and trunk or treat events, and other Halloween festivities are available.
