(BROWNSTOWN) - Three inmates at the Jackson County jail were caught on camera trying to escape Monday night.
The three men, two 17 year-olds and one 22 year-old, were being moved from a recreation area to their cells when they bolted into a classroom, barricaded the door and climbed into the jail's suspended ceiling.
They were apprehended after 20 minutes, getting as far as the mechanical area of the building before guards caught up with them.
Sheriff Marc Lahrman says the trio caused thousands of dollars in damage and may face additional charges.
