(BLOOMINGTON) - Police in Bloomington have made an arrest in both this week’s Chase Bank robbery, and an earlier Fifth Third Bank robbery.
The Bloomington Herald Times reports 35-year-old Ricky Underhill was taken into custody relating to Tuesday's Chase Bank heist, and a Fifth Third Bank robbery from the 21st.
Underhill is facing two preliminary robbery charges and was lodged in the Monroe County jail. The paper says the arrest was made when the owner of a coin-operated laundromat called police saying red-dyed cash had turned up in his change machine.
After going through surveillance footage, they got a better image of the suspect, who was later identified as Underhill, and shortly after, police found him near 3rd and Smith Streets.
Underhill was questioned and taken into custody.
