(MITCHELL) - Three people were sent to the hospital after a pair of motorcycles plowed into a vehicle crossing IN-37 yesterday afternoon.
Lawrence County Sheriff's reports say a 17-year-old Mitchell girl was crossing IN-37 going from Wesley Chapel to Yockey Road, but didn't see 69-year-old Fred Gray or 51-year-old Marla Dorsett, both of Mitchell, coming down IN-37 on their Honda motorcycles.
Gray and Dorsett plowed into the Dodge Stratus, throwing both of them from their bikes, both suffered pelvic fractures and Gray was flown to University of Louisville Hospital, Dorsett to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
The driver of the car was taken by ambulance to the hospital and was also cited for failure to yield.
Both Gray and Dorsett were in stable condition.
