Tipster Leads Police To Alleged Crack Dealer

Last updated on Tuesday, October 7, 2008

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police made a cocaine bust that came from a tip on Friday.

The Bloomington Herald Times reports police were called about drug deals taking place at a Bloomington hotel.

As a result, 25-year-old Edward Jackson of Indianapolis faces three felony counts of cocaine possession and an alleged accomplice, 20-year-old Megan Webster, also of Indy, faces a single coke possession charge as well as driving while suspended.

The arrest came when Webster left the hotel in her car while police were watching and was quickly picked up for the suspended license, and a search of the car turned up crack cocaine under her driver's seat.

The paper says Jackson told police he was told Bloomington was a good place to make money selling crack.
