(MARTIN COUNTY) - Two people wound up in the hospital, one in serious condition, after a head-on wreck on US-50 in Martin County Saturday morning.
Martin County Sheriff's reports say 55-year-old David Burch of Loogootee was headed west on US-50 when, for reasons still unknown, he crossed the centerline and ran head-on into a pickup driven by 37-year-old John Gray of Washington.
Gray's truck flipped a couple times but landed on its wheels, Burch's Lincoln went through a yard, struck and went over a tree and collided head-on with a utility pole.
Gray was taken to Daviess Community Hospital where he was treated and released for his injuries.
Burch was flown to University of Louisville Hospital where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
No charges have been listed.
