(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Police Department’s assistant Chief of Police is a busy man. He has a second job as of yesterday.
With the departure of former Bedford Planning Department Director Rod Smith at the end of October, City Hall says they have chosen Colonel Dan Kirk to fill in on an interim basis.
Kyle Brown, with the Mayor's Office, says Kirk was chosen, not only to save money, but because he has the chops to get the job done.
Kirk will maintain both positions until February 1, 2009 until a more permanent arrangement can be arranged.
