(DETROIT, MI) - General Motors is shutting down more than 20 plants for most of the first quarter of next year due to the economic slowdown.
GM reports the plant idling list includes the Fort Wayne Assembly Plant, which produces GM's full-size pickups, the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The Bedford Powertrain plant, however, doesn't appear to be affected.
Fort Wayne appears to be the only Indiana plant to get caught.
