(SEYMOUR) - A Fishers man is dead after a major accident on US-50 in Seymour Friday morning.
State Police Seymour say 29-year-old Andrew Brooks of North Vernon stopped on the highway to turn into a private driveway when an INDOT utility van driven by 33-year-old Nickie McClain of Butlerville approached him from behind, and couldn't stop in time.
Instead, police say McClain veered left to get around the truck, and the very moment 49-year-old Charles Hill of Fishers was coming the other way in his minivan.
The utility van struck Hill's minivan almost head on, and another SUV, driven by 32-year-old Rachel Schwipps of Milan, struck the utility van after the fact.
Hill was pronounced dead by the Jackson County Coroner's Office.
