(BEDFORD) - The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for most of the WBIW listening area this morning.
Currently, a patch of freezing rain is moving through the area, which can cause slick conditions on area roadways, especially those that are less traveled.
As a result, the weather service office in Indianapolis has declared a winter weather advisory for Lawrence, Monroe, Martin, Jackson, Greene, Brown, Vermillion, Parke, Vigo, Clay, Owen, Sullivan, Knox and Daviess Counties 11:00am this morning.
Temperatures were below freezing as of 8:00am, but are expected to warm up above the freezing point by late this morning.
However, as you head to work this morning, drive carefully as most of the slick spots will most likely be hard to spot, and keep listening to 1340 WBIW and watching WBIW.com's Winter Weather Watchers for any listings of closings, cancellations and delays.
1340 AM WBIW welcomes comments and suggestions by calling 812.277.1340 during normal business hours or by email at comments@wbiw.com
