(UNDATED) - Icy conditions could return just in time for you to drive home on them tonight. Weather Channel forecasts are currently forecasting rain beginning throughout the WBIW listening area starting as early as 6:00pm, and the further north you are, the better chance you have of that rain freezing into ice.
The hazardous weather outlook for the northern half of the listening area, including Lawrence, Martin, Greene, Monroe, Brown and Jackson Counties, says the freezing rain should just turn to regular rain by midnight, however.
In the southern half of the listening area, including Orange, Washington and Crawford Counties, isolated thunderstorms can develop tonight, possibly including lightning and damaging winds.
In the next 7 days, more winter weather, including snow and ice, is possible.
Of course, when inclement weather arrives, keep tuned to 1340 WBIW and watching WBIW.com for the Winter Weather Watchers and the latest on conditions and closings, cancellations and delays.
