(UNDATED) - More shaky winter weather is in the forecast for your Tuesday today.
The National Weather Service in Louisville has extended the winter storm warning for the southern half of the WBIW listening area including Orange, Washington and Crawford counties as well as the cities of Paoli and Salem.
The warning was originally due to expire at 7:00am this morning, but has been pushed to 7:00pm tonight. From Orange County to the Ohio River, most of the precipitation forecast should come in the form of snow, but is likely to change to freezing rain by this afternoon.
In the northern half of the WBIW listening area, including Lawrence, Martin, Greene, Monroe, Brown and Jackson Counties including Bedford, Bloomington and Seymour, a winter weather advisory is in effect from 8:00am this morning until 6:00pm tonight. The National Weather Service in Indianapolis says a mix of snow and sleet could arrive by sunrise, continuing throughout the day, and mix with freezing rain this afternoon.
Meteorologists believe between 1 and 2 inches of snow accumulation are possible by nightfall.
