(UNDATED) - More winter weather is due in the WBIW listening area today, which could bring slippery conditions on area roadways.
In the far northern edge of the listening area, including Owen and Morgan Counties, a freezing rain advisory is in effect from 1:00pm this afternoon until 1:00pm tomorrow afternoon.
National Weather Service meteorologists say a storm system will move in this afternoon that could bring in less than one tenth of an inch of ice buildup.
No watches, warnings or advisories are in effect for the rest of the area, however, the National Weather Service is keeping an eye on icy conditions in Lawrence, Martin, Greene, Monroe, Brown and Jackson Counties.
They expect precipitation will stake its biggest claim in the area sometime after 1:00pm here.
So keep tuned to the Winter Weather Watchers on 1340 WBIW for severe weather information and the latest on closings, cancellations and delays.
