(BEDFORD) - Here is an update on the car wreck Saturday night that took the lives of two teens and put two other teens in critical care at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Cameron Wright, 16, Alexandria Chastain, 14, Destiny Chastain, 16, and Jessica Pruett, 17, were driving home after attending a Bedford North Lawrence Lady Stars basketball game when their car slid off of Leatherwood Road and crashed into a tree, killing Cameron and Alexandria.
The two other girls in the car, Jessica Pruett and Destiny Chastain were pulled from the wreckage and rushed to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and are currently in the critical care unit.
In a brief interview with both Destiny and Jessica's parents, WBIWNews found out that Jessica suffers from a broken nose, cheekbone, and shoulder blade. Destiny suffers from five different breaks in her neck and slight bleeding to her brain. Both girls have been unconscious since the wreck, but they are beginning to respond.
When nurses ask the two girls to give them a thumbs up both girls can wiggle their thumbs and they are also starting to squeeze and tighten their hands on command.
The parents of both girls would like to say thank-you to everyone in the community, and everyone that has come to visit, and thank everyone for their prayers.
Police and doctor reports indicate that there wasn't any alcohol or drugs involved at the time of the accident.
