(SEYMOUR) - The family of a Seymour man shot and killed by police more than two years ago have settled their civil suit against the City of Seymour and the Seymour Police Department.
The Seymour Tribune reports the parties settled out of court in an apparently confidential agreement.
The suit was the result of the shooting death of 43-year-old Tommy Evans of Seymour in April of 2006, and, were the suit not settled, it would have gone to trial almost exactly 3 years after the incident, in April of 2009.
