(BEDFORD) - Strange events continue to circle around the death of 31-year-old Kelly VanMeter.
VanMeter was found dead late Sunday morning from what Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says appears to be a drug overdose.
Then, early Monday morning, her car was reported stolen from her mother's driveway out in the Vinegar Hill Addition.
Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig says the car, a blue 1997 Plymouth Neon, was later found. Finally, around 8:30 last night, two women were arrested for public intoxication at the VanMeter residence at the 200 block of Redman in Bedford.
30-year-old Shala Manuel of Bloomington and 36-year-old Deann Perry of Bedford were both arrested when Bedford police arrived to serve an unrelated warrant on another man who got away.
Manuel and Perry's arrests are also not related to the VanMeter death.
