Kurtz Man Dies While Snow Shoveling

(KURTZ) - A Jackson County man died from a heart attack Wednesday morning while shoveling snow from around a car outside his Kurtz home.

According to a report in the Seymour Tribune a 62-year-old man, who's name was not available at press time, was found by his wife, who unsuccessfully tried to administer CPR through coaching from dispatchers with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.

Dr. George Weir later ruled the man died of a heart attack.

Weir is a pathologist at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Jackson County ambulance crews arrived on the scene at 10:43 a.m. Wednesday, and the man was pronounced dead at 11:20 a.m.
