(MITCHELL) - Officials from Lehigh Cement are refusing to comment on the fate of the expansion plans at their Mitchell, Indiana plant after the suicide death of Dr. Adolf Merkle in Germany.
Jeff Sieg, who handles public relations for Lehigh Cement and her sister company, Hanson Aggregates from Texas, tells WBIW News he can't comment one way or the other, as to whether Lehigh's expansion plans, which were announced last summer, are still underway or will in any way be affected by either the reorganization of Lehigh parent Heidelberg Cement or the suicide death of its primary owner, Adolf Merkle in southern Germany on Monday evening.
This non-comment follows no-comment statements and referrals made by Lehigh's Mitchell PR representative Dan Blackwell, and Lehigh's Mitchell plant manager Ed Epping.
