(UNDATED) - Lawrence County roadways seem little worse for the wear from this morning’s snows, however, as you head north, driving gets a little rougher.
Lawrence County Highway Superintendent Dan Lucas tells WBIW News that roads south of the river are pretty much problem-free, but his crews are heading to the northern part of the county to check on things.
However, Lucas says the weather has been so cold, and the snow so light here, that most snow in the listening area is just blowing off the pavement.
Bloomington State Police's Ken Maxwell, however, tells WBIW News roadways are a little trickier in Monroe, Greene and Owen Counties.
Maxwell says state troopers have been dealing with numerous slide-offs in those counties including along IN-37.
There's also a 30% chance of a second round of snow this evening and a few flurries later tonight.
And that wind chill advisory remains in effect from midnight tonight until 1:00pm Friday afternoon.
