(MORGAN COUNTY) - An Indiana State Trooper from the Putnamville District was involved in a one vehicle accident on Interstate 70 in Morgan County when his squad car slipped on the icy roadway.
State Police Putnamville say 25-year-old Trooper Shaun Rawlins of Mooresville was patrolling on eastbound I-70 when his cruiser slipped and hit a guardrail with his passenger side front.
Trooper Rawlins was taken to the Hendricks County Hospital by ambulance with a complaint of back pain and released afterwards.
Reports say freezing rain was happening at the time.
