(COLUMBUS) - A Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputy is suspended without pay for misusing his official powers to obtain records at a local insurance company.
Authorities say Robbie Amos, a 34-year veteran of the force, served a subpoena while on duty to get documents for a family member who was planning to file a civil court case.
A subpoena is a document commanding a person to produce in court certain designated documents or evidence.
The case was filed nine days after Amos obtained the documents.
