(MITCHELL) - Lawrence County detectives are investigating the report of a person driving around the county, with lights on his car, impersonating a police officer.
Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig tells WBIW News that, around 10:00pm last night, a driver was pulled over by a car with flashing lights, and a plain-clothed main got out, harassed her and complained about her driving.
The driver of the first vehicle, after the incident, called the sheriff's department to see if that was a real officer, and the department called state police to check if they pulled anyone over, and nobody had such a call on record.
Police are investigating the incident.
