Flood Waters On The Decline

(UNDATED) - Flood warnings continue throughout the listening area.
In Rivervale, the East Fork of the White River is almost a foot over flood stage, but is expected to fall below the 20-foot flooding mark by sometime late this afternoon.
NWS hydrologists have scheduled the flood warning in Rivervale to expire as early as tonight.
Hydrologists also say the West Fork of the White River has already crested in Elliston and Newberry, and water levels got as high as 6 feet over flood stage between Bloomfield and Worthington.
A large number of state and county roads are compromised in Central and Southern Greene County.
Flood warnings are scheduled through this morning in Spencer, and Seymour appears to be out of the woods.
NWS Reports:
- In Rivervale, water levels were 0.8 feet over flood stage as of 5:00pm Monday, and minor flooding is occurring. The White River East Fork is expected to fall through this afternoon, and the flood warning is scheduled until at least tonight. At 0.5 feet over flood stage, Lawrenceport Rd. on the south side of the river floods.
- In Newberry, the White River West Fork was 5.6 feet over flood stage, but is expected to fall below flood stage by late tonight. CR600 West on the north side of the river could have as much as 2 feet of water on top for an extended distance in the Mary Long Cutoff area. Flood warnings are scheduled through Wednesday afternoon.
- In Elliston, the White River West fork as 6.1 feet over flood stage as of 4:00pm Monday, and could fall below flood stage as early as tomorrow. IN-157 between Bloomfield and Worthington, CR175 South near Bloomfield, CR100 West between CR110 North and IN-67, CR850 North, CR250 North, CR200 West between CR157 South and CR260 South, CR100 West between CR100 South and CR260 South, and CR-250 West could all be affected currently by flood water.
