(BEDFORD) - A Huron volunteer firefighter wound up in the hospital himself yesterday when he got into a wreck heading to a medical call.
Lawrence County police reports say 45-year-old Larry Goodwin, Jr. of Mitchell was on his way to a medical call for the Huron Volunteer Fire Department with his blue lights flashing on his personal truck, when he tried to cross US-50 at Huron-Williams Road and struck a truck driven by 49-year-old Robert Nail of Bedford.
The report says Goodwin had a stop sign at the intersection, and was ultimately found to be at fault. Goodwin was bleeding from his face and nail complained of shoulder pain.
Both were taken to the hospital by Dunn Ambulance.
