(LOOGOOTEE) - In Martin County, Jasper state troopers ended a chase with spike strips early this morning.
State Police Sgt. Chad Dick says 22-year-old James Peek of Loogootee is facing felony charges of resisting arrest and auto theft, as well as lesser drunk driving, criminal recklessness and traffic charges.
A state trooper near Loogootee went to pull peeks over for blowing a stop sign, but he didn't stop for him either.
After a chase, and help adding on from another trooper, a Martin County deputy and Shoals officer, the chase ended at the Martin County Fairground when a Loogootee officer blew out his tires with spike strips. After a brief struggle, Peeks was in custody.
He was also found to be wanted on a Martin County battery warrant.
