(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell motorcyclist escaped serious injury after the wind stream from an oncoming tractor trailer blew him off his bike on IN-60.
Lawrence County police reports say 20-year-old Joshua Shelton of Mitchell was heading west on IN-60 near Sportsmans Club Road, when an eastbound semi crossed his path.
The report says Shelton claimed the wind coming off the truck caused him to lose control, drive off the road and into a ditch, throwing him from the bike and landing him on an embankment.
However, Shelton was wearing his helmet, and only complained of pain to his arm and shoulder, and didn't have to be taken by ambulance.
