(COLUMBUS) - Police in the city of Columbus are investigating a shooting that occurred near an school yesterday.
Columbus Police Lt. Joe Richardson says a pair of officers was at an unrelated call on 12th Street near Columbus's Jefferson School when they heard gunshots.
Police arrested the shooter, identified as Robert Cramer of Salem, and charged him with 2 felony counts of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, 2 counts of pointing a firearm, as well as possession of a handgun without a permit near a school, residential entry, and resisting arrest.
Richardson says the officers were soon after approached by two men, ages 24 and 26, saying they had a meeting with Cramer, and allege Cramer pulled a "derringer" style pistol and shot at them.
