(BLOOMINGTON) - Stories differ in the case of a Bloomington man found bleeding from his head on South Walnut Street.
The Bloomington Herald Times reports police were called to the location and found a 42-year-old man on the steps of the apartment building Tuesday with blood coming out of his head.
The man pointed them toward an apartment where a pool of blood laid in front, and when the man inside, 51-year-old Franklin Crawford, opened the door, they found another pool inside near the door. Crawford told police the victim was loud and came at him, and Crawford in turn punched him and hit him with a nearby walking stick.
The victim, however, told police Crawford allegedly clubbed him with the 5-foot stick while he was sitting in a chair, a story which his injuries reportedly supported.
Crawford was arrested and charged with battery with a deadly weapon.
