(UNDATED) - Turkey Hill Dairy is voluntarily recalling six select ice cream and frozen yogurt items because they contain ingredients that have been recalled by the suppliers of the company.
Turkey Hill's recalled products contain peanut pieces sold by Peanut Corporation of America, the current focus of an ongoing salmonella investigation by the United States Food and Drug Administration.
Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
The items recalled are the following ice cream products: Chocolate Nutty Moose Tracks, Chocolate Nutty Moose Tracks Light, Nutty Caramel Caribou, Peanut Brittle No Sugar Added, and Peanut Butter Mania Light.
Turkey hill products are available at Kroger stores.
