(MARTINSVILLE) - Since last June’s devastating floods in Indiana, nearly 300 families in Morgan County still need help rebuilding their homes.
St. Martin's in Martinsville and Catholic Charities need volunteers skilled or semi-skilled in home repair to help.
Jane Crady with St. Martin's is assembling construction groups with at least one skilled worker for every four or five unskilled ones.
Overnight accommodations are available for volunteer groups of up to a dozen people. Groups work as long as they can, then subsequent groups continue the job until the project is completed.
Volunteers can register online to help (www.stmartins-martinsville.org) where they can choose the type of repair work they'd prefer to do.
