(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington mother is out of jail, but facing a neglect charge, after her 6-year-old was found waiting alone at the bus stop.
27-year-old Alicia Partridge told police she didn't realize her son's school was on a two-hour delay Thursday when he walked to the bus stop without a hat or gloves.
A woman who saw the boy waiting for the bus contacted police.
Partridge told them she couldn't leave her home to walk her son to the bus stop, because she had two younger children inside her home. Police say partridge's home was messy and disorganized. Child Protective Services was contacted by police.
No word on whether the agency took Partridge's children.
