(INDIANAPOLIS) - Another Bedfordite has found themselves in a leadership position in the Daniels Administration.
Lieutenant Governor and Bedford native Becky Skillman, who also serves as Agriculture Secretary, has announced the appointment of Jerome Hawkins to the position of Director of the Indiana Grain Buyers and Warehouse Licensing Agency.
In his new position, Hawkins will oversee 33 grain buyers and 400 grain facilities that can store up to 490 million bushels.
The governor's office says Hawkins is a Greene County native and graduate of Clay City High School and the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, and that Hawkins currently lives here in Bedford with his family.
