(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Police Department has one man in custody in relation to an armed robbery at the Bedford CVS Pharmacy yesterday evening.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley tells WBIW News that around 6:00pm yesterday, police were called to the CVS on 16th Street to the report of a man displaying a gun and demanding Oxycontin.
A Bedford officer was just across the street and was able to find a man with matching description in the parking lot entering a vehicle and blocked him in making the arrest without incident.
Police lodged 49-year-old Jim Strunk of Oolitic in the Lawrence County jail charged with armed robbery.
