(GREENE COUNTY) - A Brownsburg man may have been surprised to find himself in the Greene County jail after leaving an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in Hendricks County Sunday night.
The Greene County Daily World reports 52-year-old Edward Cottingham III of Brownsburg left the AA meeting at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds, trying to get to Avon, Indiana, but instead, bobbed across the centerline of IN-54 in Greene County's Center Township, almost creaming a Greene County deputy head on.
The paper says Cottingham tested with a .20 BAC, 2.5 times the legal limit, and is being held in the Greene County jail in lieu of $4,000 bond.
