(DETROIT, MI) - General Motors had another rough month for sales in February. GM reports delivering only 127,296 vehicles last month, a decrease of almost 53% from February of last year.
Overall sales were down 50% year-over-year. The biggest loser was fleet sales, which usually includes rental cars, police cruisers and other corporate and government purchases, which were down a whopping 75%.
One winner in "The General's" stable, however, was their "Lambda" platform, which underpins the Chevy Traverse, Saturn Outlook, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave, whose sales were up 35%.
However, once again, they're not alone.
Chief foreign rival Toyota, currently the #1 automaker in the world, dropped around 40% in the same month.
