(LINTON) - A bald eagle who’d been shot in its wing has died.
The bird was euthanized Thursday after being taken to federally licensed rehabilitator "Return to the Wild." the 3 1/2 year old was shot Sunday morning northeast of Linton.
While bald eagles aren't considered endangered, harming one is a felony under federal statute.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is still offering a reward of up to $1,500 for information in the shooting.
